About

UX Design project developed during a Coursera Google course. The main purpose of this app design was to enable people to order drinks from their tables during rush hours. The UX flow follows research based on conventions of bar and restaurant app designs. However, it incorporates two important elements: The option for the customer to pay from their table or pay later. The customer's choice to pick up the drink or wait to be served. Finally, the app also serves as a reminder of drinks that customers have previously ordered, allowing them to order them again.

Project Overview

Problem

During rush hours and busy periods at bars, users may encounter delays in service or even be unable to receive service. They may also experience difficulties with payment, and the products they are looking for may sometimes be unavailable.

Goal

Let people order easily their drinks or snacks and customize them, without any cue or rush hour stopping them, so they could have a good time and enjoy.

Personas

Storyboard Scenario

App idea that seeks to let pub/bar customers order right away from an app when they are in their table. Estimated time to receive the order will be shown and user will get notified when this is ready, users will be able to choose between picking up the order or being served.

Low-fidelity prototype

The user can decide to either pay throughtout the app or after getting the order. The option to choose between collecting the order or being served is also offered.

When the order is ready the customer will be notified about it. The customer can also let the staff if he/she will be waiting at the table or is on his/her way to collect the order.
